A bed bug K9 would be ideal for this situation, especially when it comes to inspecting employee homes.
The entire operation of the 911 center will be moved to a fire station on Wednesday, the move is set to take place within 24hrs to avoid service interruptions. The pest control company hired to eradicate the infestation will use chemicals, instead of heat. The center’s operations will be moved to an emergency backup site at a fire station Wednesday, Dennis Bagley, director of the city’s General Services Department, told city officials in an email, media outlets reported.
“First of all, bed bugs are “Hitchhikers,” meaning they cling to clothes and personal belongings and are carried from one place to another by humans. Because of this fact, we must take a series of preliminary steps prior to treatment to ensure that our eradication efforts are successful. Secondly, we need time to plan for an orderly transfer of 911 lines from one location to the other to make certain we maintain our 911 lines without interruption,” Bagley wrote in the email, according to media outlets.
Once all employees return to the offices, their belongings will be placed in sealed plastic containers while at work. They will also receive information as to how to properly deal with bed bugs at home.
